Last year, we launched something quite unusual: a free weekly print newspaper. Since then, we’ve published 50 issues, each with a circulation of 5,000–10,000 copies, and delivered them to every corner of Mongolia. Why unusual? Because we live in an era where short-form content is shrinking our attention spans, and it seems far more “logical” to make quick, digital content rather than print good old-fashioned newspapers.

WHY NEWSPAPER?

Content is everywhere, but quality information is scarcer than ever. While others flood us with flashy distractions, we tried to offer something different—free of clutter, free of tracking, and free from the need for a screen or signal, only the essential information that matters.

So, who reads newspapers these days? As it turns out, quite a lot of people. For many young readers, our paper has been their first-ever newspaper. It has become a driving force in encouraging young Mongolians to read more.

Just a year ago, the newspaper industry seemed to be in decline. Now, things look different: companies are launching in-house papers, university clubs are reviving student publications, and major brands are featuring newspapers in their campaigns. In short, newspapers are the new cool kid in town.

After printing millions of pages, we realized there’s a whole new group of readers who could benefit from our work: you. Whether you’re traveling in Mongolia, living in our beloved capital, or a Mongolian who prefers to read in English, this is your newspaper.

What makes it special is that it’s not just another travel guide. This is a real newspaper, one that thousands of young Mongolians read every week to understand what’s happening in the world. Now you have the chance to see that world through a Mongolian point of view.
